Virtual Assistant

Our small - and growing - business needs an extra set of hands. MKT is looking to hire a virtual assistant to help us with a wide range of tasks, which include research; data entry; calendar maintenance and scheduling; formatting recipes into templates, organizational tasks; and basic correspondence.  Candidate should have experience with all basic Microsoft programs, posses superior typing skills, and be personable in written and phone correspondence, Social media experience and interest is a plus, as are graphic design abilities. Over time we could see this person being involved in marketing, media, and branding exercises. Ideal candidates are hard working, reliable, honest, fun, and detail-oriented. A retail or grocery background is awesome, but far from essential. A love of food and a belief in goodness are must haves. 

This role would be remote and is estimated to be 8-12 hours a week, but hours may vary depending on the time of year, projects at hand, and individual's abilities. Some work needs to be completed during business hours, but much of it can be done at the time of day that suits. Most work would be asked for within 48-72 hours. Occasionally there would be 24 hour turn around required. There would be very rare instances where we would ask for same day support.

Part-Time Guest Experience Support (Cafe + Sales) 

The people that form the MKT team are critical to our success. Join us part-time and help us create something great! 

This role will be trained to support the Cafe and the Main Store; however, shifts will be scheduled in one area at a time. Responsibilities when working in the Cafe include greeting and assisting MKT customers, taking phone orders, operating Cafe point of sale, running food, busing tables, and clear communication with the Cafe cook and other MKT team members.  

Responsibilities for the Main Store will include greeting customers, operating the main grocery point of sale, stocking inventory, and keeping the store shelves, displays and facilities clean. This role may also have the opportunity to assist with MKT special events. This position will be fun with lots of room to grow.

Compensation is commensurate with experience. This position is part-time (~15-20 hours/week, split over 3-4 days). MKT aims to provide a fun and employee-focused culture with training, development, and perks offered to our team.

Part-Time Deli Manager

MKT is seeking a reliable and efficient individual for a part-time opportunity to help run our deli operations. Butcher experience is a plus. 

The successful candidate will showcase culinary talent and appreciation for local and diverse foods. He or she will help to serve guests needs as they order deli items including meat, cheese, seafood and MKT prepared foods. He or she will be responsible for keeping the deli space clean and neat. This role will also assist with other aspects of store operations during slow times for the deli. He or she should be personable, dependable, and results-oriented. Must be able to see and address problems as a self-starter, while also closely follow directions from management team or Cafe team as needed. Good communication skills are a must with team and guests.
